We have had a busy time in Rotorua, it has been really good fun but quite expensive! Firstly and quite predictable we had to try out the luge, three different tracks scenic, intermmediate and advanced...and they didn't dissapoint it was brilliant good fun with a few more bumps than the other tracks we have been on! Only one more luge left in new zealand, not sure how we will cope! Friday night we went on a Maori evening with entertainment and food, we booked one (on Toni and Alan's good advice!) that takes you out to a maori village outside Rotorua rather than in one of the hotels and it was really good, they go through varoius rituals (lots of sticking out tongues and eye bulging!) before they allow the 'visiting tribe' to enter the village, it was all good fun and done really well. They put on entertainment of singing, dancing and even a romantic story! Then we got to have dinner, a buffet with chicken, pork, potatoes, stuffing, carrots and really yummy steamed pudding mmm! On the way home there was some rather cring-worthy singalongs on the bus with each contry have to sing a song, we sang yellow submarine! It was an awesome evening.

Today we went to a wildlife park which had lots of fish, goats, lamar, pigs, birds, etc. But the best part was the lion enclosure, they are just behind on wire fence and some electric wiring, so closer than you get in most zoos which was a little scary especially when they start play fighting and chasing eachother and it looks like they are running straight at you! They also feed them, so we got to see how the hierarchy within the group worked and it was brilliant. After that me and laura went zorbing, which is when you roll down a hill inside a big blown up ball and they fill it with water, it feels like you are in a big washing machine but so much fun but we got very very wet and cold!

We are now at the Watimo Caves and we are booked up to do the black water rafting tomorrow, which should be good fun.
