I have mentioned before how tough my first two weeks were…..about the material and my lack of grammatical knowledge ect……however there was one thing that make my first two weeks next to impossible……and her name was Michelle. So just who is Michelle?? She was French woman, pretty close to clipping 70, an ex teacher, and the only old woman that I have ever wanted to punch in the mouth. Why is there so much hate you ask? Well……let’s just say that Michelle was pretty damn exited about being in Costa Rica…….and she was even more excited about finishing every fucking sentence that came out of my mouth….even before I said it. EVERY SINGLE QUESTION that was directed towards me during my first two weeks of school was answered either by Michelle or with the aid of Michelle. At first…I thought that there was an echo in the room…….but then I realized it was my voice that was always coming in last….not the echo. I finally figured it out when I looked across the table…… she looked like Muhammad Ali sitting across from me……with her bottom lip quivering every single word that was to come out of my mouth. It would not have been that bad if she would have just lip synched with me……but she was actually speaking the words before I could get them out. I even tried to get creative…. Slowing down, speeding up, change my tempo mid sentence, even changing my answer to the question..……but there she was every single time…….mouthing and speaking every word. For the love of god….I was never able to shake this woman. If this woman were smart…she would dump trying to learn Spanish and go and team up with Madame Cleo the psychic and make a killing finishing other peoples sentences.

I finally told everyone else in the class about what was going on….as they always wondered why I was so worked up by the end of class. Moving forward, it took everything my fellow classmates had not to break out laughing each time I was asked a question………….as everyone sat in anticipation…..…waiting for my duet with Michelle to begin.
