We decided to stop over one night at Mount Cook on our way to Queenstown from Christchurch. It was our first long drive in the campervan and it was very pleasant. The views were quite amazing, its weird to be driving down the road surrounded by massive mountains. And the lakes and rivers are an amazing blue colour and very clear looking. We stopped at Lake Tekapo on the way which was really pretty and we even went in the Church there, two in two days!!
Mount cook was very impressive to see and we went for a little walk up a hill near the town at the bottom to get some good views. The town was quite nice but very small and really isolated, its quite hard to imagine living there. That was about it for our activity in Mount Cook as there wasn't much to do there but it was very impressive to see! And cold!
