Marlborough wine... and lots of it!

2008-04-14, Blenheim, New Zealand

Our next stop up north took us to Blenheim for a day, only a short one as the main reason that we stopped here was as our last port of call on the south island and for the wine! We went on a wine tasting tour around the region. Ended up going to 6 wineries (Whither's Hill, Alan Scott, Saint Claire, Drylands, Bouldervines and Cloudy Bay) tasting around 6/7 wines at each place... and got a little tipsy. But so did the two elderly couples that we made friends with! And also ended up going off tour to a chocolate factory! So a brilliant day in all!
