Today we went to the famous Dole Plantation, which I found out is actually no longer a working plantation. So it's a bit of a lie now, but the essence is still there.
Sandra and I met up with Jenn, Jenn, Cammie, Selita, Ryan, Selita's best friend Ariel and her husband Nick, Selita's brother and sister Tiara, and her grandmother.
They have all sorts of fun things to do at the Dole plantation! We rode the 20 minute train ride through the actual plantation, where they still grow pineapples and other fruits, sugar cane, and flowers. Then Sandra and I headed to the World's Largest Maze, where we had to find 8 stations al hidden throughout the maze at various locations. It's supposed to take 30-45 minutes, but at 45 minutes we only found 6, which was still better than I thought we were going to do!
The store was really fun, pineapple ice cream, pineapple upside-down cake, pineapple everything!! Super expensive, but really fun. It smells so good in there!
Eventually everyone headed their separate ways and Sanda and I headed up to North Shore to eat some Shrimp Truck!! Super OMG delicious oily garlic amazing!!! Anyone can sign their name on the truck as well, so we did our part to make sure we were remembered forever by signing our names as well.
Got home and took a nap while Sandra finalized the wedding details with Selita and Ryan. They stayed for dinner, and I pretty much passed out thereafter. I think I might be getting sick because my throat has been really hoarse lately, so I've been drinking lots of hot tea and taking steamy hot showers to clear my nose. =P
