Time standing still should be a good thing but in Penang it's not.
We have been trying to keep ourselves busy, just to pass the time before flying to Bangkok on 9th.
So what have we been up to???
We had the buffet in the 5* Eastern Oriental recommended by some people we met on Koh Krandan. It cost 20 pounds a head for all you can eat and drink and boy was it worth it.
We both pigged out on tiger prawns, salmon steaks, roast beef, crunchy vegetables, garlic bread, the cheese board, black forest gateaux, strawberries covered in chocolate, and all the other things we'd been missing from home or have been too stingy to fork out on.
Red wine is mega expensive out here and I think I got value for money by drinking 6 glasses, whilst Steve had 6 glasses of beer.
It was a lovely evening of self indulgence and it was great to pretend we had money for just one night!
