I am just writing to let you all know that I have made it to Dubai. A lovely 26 degrees outside...pretty cold for here!
Our plane landed after 3am (10am AEST). It was a squishy flight even though our seats were pretty much in the same spot both times!! This plane was smaller and older. The plane from Melbourne to KL was much nicer.
We went to our hotel and crashed after the flight. I slept through to 2pm today (9pm AEST). I was so tired. We went for a walk to shops this afternoon to get some basic grocery supplies – we can do our own cooking as we have a kitchen in the hotel apartment. I bought a glass bottle of coke for 1 dihram – that’s 33 cents AUD!! So cheap! I have my vegemite with me too. I had a cheese and vegemite sanga this afternoon. YUM!
