I snuck in on the computer because justin is here getting a message (is that right) by this girl from london. she is traveling through mexico for as long as she can. seems really nice. she is giving message by donation and his back has been a little bit sore from the pack.
so i get to fill you in on our trip a little more. so today we rented bikes at poc na for $70 pesos ea. for the day. started out at 10am after the free pan y coffe they give you in the morning. I bought plantenos to add a bit more. got more agua...mas agaua mas agua....agua todo tiempo.
We started riding down the east side the 4.5 miles to the Playa Sur. I think it is the back side of the island. I had to wear justin{s long sleeve shirt because I, yes I, the never burner....I am burnt! lobster. It is not so bad ahora mismo pero oooohhhhwwweee. Some how this mexican sol is kick}n my butt. any ways... we got to see fancy rental housed and took some photos of cool places and then a little further down we would find slums. The rich and the poor are very close here. I feel very sensitive to it. I don{t know if I even had the money if I would live in these fancy ass houses with people living next door so poor (or close by)..who work for you...
Down on the south end of the island there is a park you pay $30 ea to get in. We made aguacate salad with mango (yes the mangos I collected :) con chips y frijoles out of a can. Not so bad for amuerzo. Then we fed this lizard that was very excited that we came to eat at his gazibo.
After this we took a swim to the left of the point. The waves were a little big and we are still a little scared of the ocean. But we had so much fun. The fish were beautiful and bigger than yester day. There was on I think perot fish that was orange and teal, then a twin that was purple and teal. There was also a needle fish as big as justinnś arm. Lots fo other fish too. Electric blue, yellow. We got excited to go the the other side of the point and when we got down there it seemed the water was too big and strong. There was a shelf that probably had great snokling but the waves were hitting it really hard. Then I saw a fin stickng out and then saw what we think was a rief shark swim by...scary. Maybe not. We stood for a while and while we were talking ourselves out of snorkling there we then saw this orange thing in the water. we were trying to figure it out when finally we both ran out to get closer accross the rief climbing a rocky pointy rock to see a tortuga!!! just go down :( too bad we didn}{t figure it out sooner.
well I don{t have much free time left on the compt. and there is a line of hunger typers. we set back out to main town. and took a siesta...finnaly feeling like we are rested. Thank you meletonan.
tongiht we hope to go to the Om for fancy drinks and a couple other places. before we head off tomorrow. Isla mujers had been good but I think we have done all we can do unless we decide to party it up for the next couple of nights. ha ha. off to Talum then we will see. have to make up our minds to go south or north
lots of love and hopefully my burning will end soon.
