Well we are coming to the end of our time in Melbourne and in Australia. We have really enjoyed Melbourne, its a brilliant city (not quite as good as sydney), it has some pretty awesome trams!
Our time has been made particularly brilliant here for two reasons, the neighbours tour and Draculas both up there with the greatest moments in my life so far!!
The neighbours tour was awesome, first we got to visit the high school where they shoot all the outside shots in the school scenes to be honest we didn't recognise much of it! Then we moved on to the set where they film grease monkeys, the garage and the bus stop! This was amazing it was much smaller than it looks on the TV. Next came the best thing ever....we met SUSAN KENNEDY! she took photos with us and signed autographs, she was so lovely and came round to talk to everyone! We then if that wasn't already enough excitment for one day got to visit Ramsay street! i took lots oof photos! again it was much smaller than it looks on the tv, but it was soo soo cool!
Draculas is a restaurant/musical/comedy night, it was so so so so brilliant, You start of by travelling into the theatre on a ghost train which they film and half way through the night play back to you....there was some funny footage of us screaming! Then you get seated in the restaurant where they serve you a three course meal, real nice, while they put on a show infront of you. The show was made up of lots of scetches and musical numbers, it was so so funny! Its all too weird to explain (such as dancing skeletons, singing mermaids etc), i'm sure i will bore you with the stories on my return!
Other than these two great trips we have done the usual touristy things in melbourne, went on a tram, visited St Kilds and the amusement park and lots and lots of shopping! always good!
Next stop is New Zealand and picking up our campervan...exciting, but first we have a plane to get on and a night sleeping at Christchurch airport!! Hope all is well at home xxxx
