|  | | What day is it again? | | | | | This morning there was a bit of commotion as a small group prepared to leave in front of the house. I was up already so I stepped out onto my balcony to say good morning. As I waved them goodbye my friend Patris came around the corner looking rather serious and said “Rachel Madame Delva needs to see you right away.” Thinking something was wrong I quickly ran in the house threw on yesterday’s clothes and flew down the hill. When I got to the Hope House the kids came running over wondering what I was doing there so early. I explained that Madame Delva was looking for me and asked where she was. “She’s in the office with the two new kids.”
Thinking something had happened with the new kids I flew over to the office with my heart pounding. When I walked in the door I saw Madame Delva, Michelove and Mackenlove sitting quietly in the waiting room. I asked her if everything was OK. It was at that moment her smirk gave her away. “Patris GOT YOU!” She said and out pops Patris from behind the wall. “April fools day!”
Apparently they celebrate April fools day here too…and today I was the FOOL!
