Hey Everyone, me and my team have arrived safely in India. Being here so far has been an eye opening experience. I really don't know where to begin..or how to start explaining everything I see, experience, taste, smell, and feel.

But know that things are good. God is good.

All I want to do is praise God for providing a way to come here...and especially, now, that I'm here..seeing the poverty, the need..how much more grateful I am. Not just for the outreach finances, but for everything else I have been blessed with.

The streets are busy, I don't even know how to explain the driving situation...cars everywhere...you walk, nearly die..you drive..nearly die..you take a rickshaw (a person riding a bike attached to a buggy) and you definitely nearly die. Hahaha..

Everywhere you go, there's a stench...humidity, and mosquitoes to great you. When you walk down the street, people's faces turn to stare and little kids follow you begging for money. Cows are everywhere..and poverty can't be escaped.

Showers are with buckets, and food consists of rice and spicey chicken or vegetables.

It's beautiful. I love being here. I love the simplicity..It's something I hope to never lose or take for granted when I go home.

Our first day here..we made our way downtown thru the dark and dirty alleys, past the cows, the slums and the stench..to the marketplace where we bought our indian outfits. They're so cute..and comfortable. I can't wait to show you.

On Sunday, we lead our first church service. It was really good. Leslie gave a testimony on Obedience. I gave a testimony on being a christian, but still having struggles and needing faith, and cami, leslie and I did a dance..itwas really good. And cami itroduced that. And stefan gave the sermon. I so enjoyed the church service...church is very different here..I don't know how to explain it. I am very excited though, for all the other church services we have this week. We also are doing university minsitry, where we are helping out with a local chrisian coffee shop and hanging out with some of the local university students..as well as teaching ESL and childrens minsitry.

Anyways, I need to go..Thank you for reading this if you did. LOVE YOU ALL. Seriously would love to hear from you if you have time. Love you all,

Claire
