At the school where I am taking classes, there are tons of students from all over the world……so I am essentially bathing culture. One thing that really sucks about the US is that there is little to no emphasis on Language. Is seems that everyone else in the world places a tremendous amount of importance on foreign language studies. There are a number of girls from Suiza (Switzerland) that speak 5 languages……..5 LANGUAGES. Their native tongue is Swiss/German….which for the most part is German. Let me tell you one thing….that has to be the most unsexy/angry sounding language in the world. The other day...two if the girls were talking to each other, I seriously that one of the girls had something caught in her throat and was trying to dislodge it. When they were talking to each other I thought they were having an argument with one another….I asked what was said and one girl replied “I really liked this song and was singing it to her”. Sheez……I thought they were going to start throwing blows at one another. So if you know me…..I have already begun asking tons of questions.....so I asked jokingly….”So do you girls like the Hoff?” They all giggled and one broke out into one of his songs about freedom. So I guess you can add that the Suize/Germans know Hasselhoff as well.

Lastly......it is simply amazing how intelligent these girls are....they have been awesome with helping me every day.
