Hope you are well and enjoying life! This will be a short 13 minute e-mail, make that 12 minutes, I'm paying 10 bt for 20 minutes, so here we go!
First of all I'm sorry that I haven't really been explaining my subject lines. :) The number at the beginning (in this case 14) stands for the 14th e-mail I have written since I left the US to go on DTS. And the last title "Chang Mai" is a city in northern Thailand (so is Chang Rai, and so also with this e-mail is Bangkok). Bangkok is the largest or at least one of the largest cities in Thailand and we are staying on Khao San Road, a popular backpacker hangout. Probably one of the darkest places I have ever been in, and I'm not talking about artificial lighting. Howerver I am safe and all is well. My team is getting along very well. We are nearly 3 week in, traveling, eating, living life TOGETHER and we still love eachother. We have commited to being very open and honest with eachother, confrontation is not to be side stepped, as that often ends in disunity...we are very intentional about staying a team and staying connected. We respect eachoter and try to be loving n all we do, but there is also a lot of grace which is good. We will not have any more service projects for the remainder of out 5 weeks in Thailand. From here on out it is purely backpacker ministry and evangelizing. We pray for the sick, we care for the poor in the area and love the thais to however. We go where we feel led to go, we prayed for guidence before making a general plan, and continue to pray and allow God to alter our plans. It's quite an interesting lifestyle--taking one day at a time and enjoying all it has to offer. Love you, 2 min left, Christine
