By the time we get to Kandy town it was about 9.15 and there was a huge traffic in town area due to some roads were closed down for some reason. We had to take a shortcut to bypass town and go to Hanthana, where Duminda’s place is. It was on top of Hanthana mountain area. Roads were too angled and difficult to climb. It took us about 45 mins to get to Hanthana after getting to Kandy town area. At about 10 we got to Duminda’s place. It was a quit remarkable surrounding and a beautiful environment. His Home was about 3 meters above the road. We could see lots of area down town in front of the garden. There were flowers all over the place. His mother and father welcome us and Duminda introduce one by one to them. We sat by for some time, took some photos of flora and sounding. To the front we could see famous “Bahirawa Kanda” Buddha Statue. There were two cute little doggies at his place and we got friendly with them soon. As we have initiated, we had our breakfast at Duminda’s place. His mother has prepared “Kiribath” and String hoppers. We ate as much as possible hoping to bypass lunch and settle for diner after breakfast. After breakfast we said goodbye to Duminda’s place and Leave Hanthana to Kandy town to buy necessities for the journey. We leave Kandy around 1 pm to move toward Knuckles region.
