Well, first of all - I think it should be called honeydays cause it was only 3 days 2 night. Nevertheless, the vacation was great! Initially we didn't plan to go anywhere, but at last minute we decided to go to this remote resort area in the hillside of Garut - Kampung Sampireun.
And my goodness, it was a very long drive (> 3.5 hours from Jakarta!). The place is in the middle of no where. But after we got there, it was just so drop dead gorgeous! Thanks to weddingku.com, we got the best room there. The air is so fresh, the room is very nice - it even has semi outdoor bathroom. So honeymooney he he. I love the back terrace so much, it's facing the lake, with personal pier, you got your personal boat. A superb place to read my fave magazine in the world! (and I really did read there!)
We had the chance to have our candle light dinner on a raft - right at the center of the lake! We really had to take a small boat to get there. And it happens to be full moon, where the sky is bright (d'oooh, it's non polluted!) and the stars are glowing. Really really romantic!
On the last day, Ian and I watch sunrise together. (Sunrise, not sunset). And it was also drop dead gorgeous. Every morning there's a surabi seller flowing around by boat (Surabi is a traditional Indonesian cake - in case you wonder).
While snuggling on the back terrace, looking at the blue sky and enjoying the clean breeze; we set a new big rock for ourself. We MUST HAVE at least 1 vacation like this per year. And lebaran holiday (muslim holiday) is not consider as a real vacation!
