A night passed quietly at the Far East border of Sinharaja rain forest, specifically at Morning Side. I got up around 7 in the morning. One by one of our guys were getting up to feel the fresh air in an untouched rain forest. It was so chilly. Sunlight appears around 8.30 giving signs of a sunny day but fog was still around. We washed our self and gather in living area for a chat. Breakfast was ready by 9.30 in the morning. After having breakfast we got out to hike around. We were planning to go to a natural pool which was about a mile from the bungalow. We took some photos on the way and eat lots of wild guava :D Area to the natural pool was not like the rest of the forest, there were more grass lands than trees. And there were signs of elephants all over the place. We were not too sure to move father. So we turn back from about a mile and headed toward the bungalow again. While we were returning we heard a noise of a vehicle. After a little long a lorry appear from a far bend and came toward us. We were so happy to see a vehicle. When it comes close to us we stop it and ask when it will return. They said that they will return only after 4 PM which was not enough for us to get back home on time. After walking back to bungalow we hang around it for a while and took some photos. After sometime it starts to rain again. We prepare some French fries and had with a sank hoping the rain will be over soon. Waited for sometime it looks like rain is not going to over so we decide get ready and climb down once rain over. We waited and waited but rain didn’t seem to stop. Once rain was reduced to some extend we decided to head back. It was about 12.30 we start to climb down and it took about 2 hours to get to the bottom. On the way we were caught by rain several times. Leach attacks were as usual but we were more prepared this time. But still there was a big leach inside one of my shoes and all over my trousers. There was a stream with a tank close to entrance road to Morning Side. We wash our selves form there and change cloths. Cloths we were wearing were wet and there were mud and blood all over. After changing cloths we put patches to leach bite wounds with pieces of news papers (News papers were more useful in this than actually reading news :D). We got back into vehicle and come little father to stop somewhere for lunch. We stops by road side close to a huge tree and eat roti , which we had prepared form Morning Side and get back into vehicle to return home. We were so tired and sleeping. We stop by Rathnapura to pick some items and around Kitulgala for tea. We return to Colombo around 8 – 8. 30 and I got down from Kottawa. It was the end of another journey of Srilogic Friends.
