Next day morning I got up early to get ready, but others were still sleeping. We were without a plan for second day. After everyone got up, we were gathered around the breakfast table and discoursed what should do and finally decided to come to Nuwara Eliya town and then go to Lake Gregory, from there to Lovers Leap fall situated close to Nuwara Eliya town. After breakfast we got ready and pack our baggage’s back in to vehicle. We climb up the clip behind the bungalow and took some memorable photos there in fields of carrot cultivation. And there was the only place we could make a call to home cause there was no signal in other places for Dialog – Future today. x(. After saying good bye to forestry bungalow hoping to return on December to see fall of snow - as per Mr. Sunil’s information, we head back to Nuwara Eliya town. We came to Nuwara Eliya town at about 11.30 AM and directly went to Gregory Lake, just to hang around for a while and then headed toward Lovers Leap. It was not that far from Nuwara Eliya town. Only about 15 minute drive from Nuwara Eliya town. There were lots of water falls surrounding Nuwara Eliya town. I think there were more than 25 of them and all of them were full of water.
We went close to the water fall by vehicle and had to work from there through a tea estate and some gardens, because we couldn’t find a correct path to it. We were going through some vegetable fields and got loss among them. There were two children little far. They were playing in vegetable field. Dushan who went in front told there is no way father. We ask for help from those two children, but they seems can’t understand may be because they were Tamil and we ask in Sinhala or maybe they were confused. One of the showed us some direction. We headed back and fallowed that direction. It bought us to a tea estate and there seems have a path to Water Fall. We climb up hill on that path which is not that clear. We manage to get close to water fall within 15 - 20 minutes. Lover Sleep water fall is about 20m height coming down from huge rock. Place we were at was not the bottom of water fall. It was somewhere in middle. It was bit difficult to get close to water fall. We stay there for a while and climb down. This time we took a different root. Actually there was a road coming very close to water fall but we didn’t know where it leads. We came down in that path and again we had to cross tea estate to get to where we start our journey. We manage to come to middle of the tea plantation without much problem. From there it was very difficult to find a way out. It was much harder to move between tea bushes since they were not in use recently. We met a puppy on the way down and it was fallowing us. We show it coming down but didn’t think it would make this far. We had to cross a mash area to get back to the other side of tea plantation. When we are at the other side we sow that pup is also coming across that area. We felt so sorry about the little one. But we couldn’t take it with us so we hurried up to the vehicle. We got to our vehicle and return to Nuwara Eliya town, hang around for a while went around to find a place to tale lunch. It was about 2 PM. We bought some lunch packets and start our journey back home. On the way we have discussed and decide to go on our next trip within 3 month, probably in September 2007. We fallow the same root to return home and got back to Colombo around 8 PM. Guys drop me from my place at about 8.15 and it was the end of our first journey.
