Welcome to Honduras

Another early morning and another boarder crossing, found the tour moving into Honduras. I was disappointed to find out that you donīt get a stamp in your passport if you are entering overland.... I feel cheated! What is the point of going to a country if you donīt have the stamp to prove it! :)

We stopped just of the boarder a the town of Copan, which is famous for one thing... its ruins. Although these mayan ruins are much smaller than the ones I saw at Tikal, the carvings are much better preserves and/or restored. Overall the site was amazing, with trees intertwining with the structures and clearly visable estallas (carvings).
