1st full day in Bangkok

We woke up (after a restless night's sleep) and we found some sweet bread in a 7-11 next door for breakfast (like brioche), there are 7-11's EVERYWHERE in Bangkok! Today's trip forst took us to the station to get the ticket to chiang mai later on in the week. We thought we could walk it ok, but we ended up getting a little lost, but after a two hour walk we made it and got our ticket.We then went to Lamphini park (via the metro-so clean!) and sat there for a few hours, It was a haven from the city centre, and there was a thai man doing some yoga stretches that a man shouldn't do!!We then went to a skytrain station to meet Tan (our thai friend from school) and she took us out to dinner for some thai food (more meatand fish)and then risked a bus back home. It;s a rickety old thing with a wooden floor and single seats down one side. The conductor has to wear a mask because of all the pollution that comes in through the windows because of the traffic! But we managed to make it back ok!
