Chiang mai

We have managed to reach our second destination safe and sound, although we did have a little issue with the buses in Bangkok on route to the station as we got on the wrong one first, then managed to get off quite a bit early, a few miles early to be honest!! So we decided that rather than getting on another bus we would walk as it would be good exercise, but by the time we got to the station a few hours later (lucky we left in plenty of time) we were so knackered and hot we were close to passing out, we were getting lots of dodgy looks from the locals! Anyway once we got on our train we could recover, we had a nice little room to ourselves with a chair which turned into bunk beds it was suprisingly comfy actually, maybe my best nights sleep so far! We arrived in Chiang Mai about 10 this morning and got a tuk tuk to our guest house which is very nice, it is run by a german women who is very friendly and showed us how to get around the city and the best places to visit! We are now in the old town part of Chiang Mai getting to know the city a bit, so far so good.. much more relaxed than Bangkok. My mum has informed me that my spelling and general writing on my jorunals has been pretty poor, apologies for this we only get limited time on the internet...plus we don't want to be wasting our time on the computers when the weather is so nice outside!! (i will try harder!) xxxx
