Welcome friends and family to Glacier Tuesday. Today we will mainly be visiting glaciers. We headed off from Greymouth mid morning, skipped around several campervans and made our way to Franz Joseph glacier. We couldn’t stop there long as we had a half day trek up the Fox glacier booked for the afternoon. We took some photos and got back on the road. The Fox glacier tour was a half day walk up past the terminal face and on to the glacier. It was extremely impressive. Where we stood the ice was over 100m thick and advancing at over 1m per day which is pretty quick for a glacier. The photos probably speak for themselves on this one so we wont bore you too much with detail. If you require a more detailed version of events please let us know.
