| | | Wine, chocolate and mini golf but not a pasty in sight. | | | | | On the way out of Marlborough we popped in at St Clair winery, a chocolate factory and Cloudy Bay. All of them were very nice. One of us drank a little more than the other due to driving duties. Ronnie was the lucky one. We didn’t have all that much planned for today other than to end up at the Abel Tasman national park. We stopped off at Rabbit Island for some lunch on the way. Whilst on Rabbit Island we didn’t see a single rabbit so we figured that it must be an ironic naming. After that it was on to Kaiteriteri the main town in the Abel Tasman park. Once we got there we chilled out on the beach for a while before sampling the local Mini Golf. Halfway through the battle an old chap turned up to watch us. Apparently he built the course and was impressed with our standard of play. Annoyingly he hung around for at least 4 holes before leaving us alone. Ed won again (which was lucky due to his competitiveness) but it was a closely fought contest. We had booked ourselves onto an overnight hike/kayak for the next day so we got some shut eye after a rather large curry that could have easily fed four.
