We're still having problems with pictures.
Took the train from Puri to Baubaneswar to get our train to Goa. It's a short trip, about an hour. On the train we sat with a lovely Indian family and much of their extended kin. We showed them a picture of our family and the eleven year old girl looked at Ryan, who we said was also eleven, and she said "Oh, he's so cute". Her cafe-au-lait colored skin visibily darkened as she blushed while saying it. So Ryan, there's an adorable young girl somewhere in India who might be thinking about you. If you check back we will upload a picture of the family we met.
The trainride from BBWR to Goa was very uneventful although long. Around 30 hours. We ordered meals on the train and laughed because the cutlery was a plastic spoon smaller than a dixiecup spoon and was unusable. Fortunately we had our travel cutlery with us and used that.
We took an auto rickshaw to Benaulim and checked into our usual cabin. When we walked into the village we were greeted enthusiastically by many of the vendors along the road. One vendor, a Kashmiri rug dealer that we've known for a few years looked at me, shook my hand and said "you're so white!!". "Dar," said I, "it's my natural color". We had a similar experience when we went to the beach. Waiters, busboys, the manager all came out to greet us and shake our hand. Celebretries on the beach for our fifteen minutes of fame and then we settled into our usual routine.
