Hello Everyone!
I want to take this time to tell everyone of my next big adventure...yup, seems like it is never ending for me!
Jason and I will be going to Australia and New Zealand for a six month working holiday!!!!!!! So you can be sure my journals will start to be updated on a regular basis again!
Since my visa expires to work here on the 28th of February, Jason and I have decided it is time to try something new! We both have our visas for australia and new zealand and have been saving like crazy for the past few months.
We will be flying to Toronto March 4th 2008 and staying for a week so I can see everyone and sort my life out before I leave for a few months again! We will be staying until March 11 when we fly out to San Francisco for a few days! When you fly to Australia from Canada you have to stop in California no matter what so we figured why not stay for a few days????
We will be staying in a travelodge in San Francisco for 3 days and the we fly out to Sydney, Australia on March 14. We are still deciding whether or not we will work or travel first but in any case, no matter what way around we will do it, we are going to work for eight weeks and travel for two or three. We would like to live in Cairns on the north coast by the great barrier reef as that time of year it will be 30 degrees the whole time and it is classified as a 'tropical city'! It is popular for backpackers and I dont think it would be to hard for us to find jobs up there. If this is the case we will probably travel first as we make our way up north from sydney.
On June 3rd we are then flying from Sydney to Auckland New Zealand where we plan to travel a bit before settling into the ski season in mid june. We would ideally like to work on a resort and spend the days skiing and the nights working! YAY! I am excited cause I really enjoyed skiing last year when Jason came to visit. I would also like to try my hand at snowboarding!
On August 16th we make our way back home via Los Angeles for a few days! Once again we figure....why not stop??? Plus I want to go to Hollywood and Disney Land!
On August 21st we are back to Toronto in time for Mike and Lauren's wedding on the 22nd. We dont yet have a flight back to London booked at this point as I am waiting to hear about a few drama schools and masters programs i have applied to here in london. If I get in we will probably stay 2 or 3 weeks in canada (and likely up at the cottage in august)before heading back to find a place to live in london. If I dont we may stay in Canada for a while but all of this is up in the air at the moment!
I am really excited and we leave in 36 days! I have told my work and they are holding a massive leaving party for me and including me in the February sales incentive day out to London on March 1st paid for by the company. Jason is telling his work he is leaving this week :oS
I am sad to leave this part of England and have really enjoyed wroking for Copyrite. I will be sad also to move out of my flat in Poole on the seafront. But I know spending 6 months in the land of OZ will make up for it! I am so excited about this new adventure and I am more excited that Jason is coming with me to do it!
I will be creating a new Australia/NZ journal on this website and promise to have constant updates and picture up loads!
This adventure will take me up to 21 different countries....hope to make 196 one day!
