We arrived in Lijiang with some British girls and a girl from Shanghai. We found a hostel together at Mama's in Lijiang. The hostel operates 3 different buildings and caters to travelers giving each one a "home away from home experience."
The 5 of us spent a few days together visiting various sites and just getting to know the city. Afterwards a group of 8 of us headed to Snow Mountain to hike Tigers Leaping Gorge! The view was amazing. The whole time we spent treking around the bend of the mountain. To the right of us was a cliff that dropped over 500 meters to the river. On the opposite side of the canyon was the beautiful mountains covered in snow. The two day adventure was with 2 girls from denmark, 2 guys from Australia, 1 guy from Germany, and one British guy. The 8 of us spent 2 days together treking and had a great time. After our trek we returned to Lijiang and prepared for our trip to our next stop. Sichuan Provience. The snowy roads and busy travel time means we must now fly to Chengdu the captial of Sichuan.
