Most beautiful place in the world

2008-01-09, Lanquin, Guatemala

So, Semuc Champey is the most beautiful place in the world. Google might have photos. It's a HUGE limestone bridge that goes over the river. But the bridge is so huge that you can walk all over it for ages and not know that it's a bridge until you get to the edge. And on this bridge is a series of stepped pools of water. Crystal clear water... pretty ponds. And the whole thing is so serene and perfect it's just insane.

But if you go to the edge of the bridge you can see the river rushing underneath and so much water goes rushing through with such great force, it's totally chaotic and actually quite scary. I've got some awesome photos. It's just crazy, it's so beautiful.

The rest of the day was heaps of fun but I won't bother because it just doesn't compare to semuc champey.

Next entry: Back in Antigua AGAIN
