Well we made it out here with no real hassles other than the fact I thought I might need a passport and thankfully didn't, owing to the fact it had just expired 6 mos before! This would later be coupled with the jarring indication that my driver's license would expire on the date of our return! Which I didn't find out until I was in security check going home that day! Yow!
Aside from that, it was a fun flight out, and our taxi ride easy enough to arrange.. until someone rear ended his van just a few minutes out on the highway! Luckily the police were just in the next lane! and the guy who hit us was harmless -- it all resulted in being incident free.. except for some reason the driver called for another cab to get us and we had to wait.
His van was fine, the other guy's car was also just a little damaged, but in the end we were just glad to finally get to our hotel, and what a nice surprise it was, considering the drive through many dubious towns along the way only added to our consternation, we did end up having chosen a fairly decent place to stay - adding to our confidence that reading online reviews was actually a worthwhile cause.
