| | | Jaclyn, Brandon, Ryan and Gamy..? | | | | | Welllllll
After a few days we left Ko Phayam and headed for Krabi by bus. We arrived and made our way to the pier to catch a boat to Raliey Beach which is on the main land but has no roads going to it, so we had to take a long tail boat to get there! We finaly after much haggling with the touts at the pier, got a boat for the price we wanted and then go in the longtail for a short ride to Raliey. In the boat was a local Thai fella who was a rock climbing instructor. We introduced ourselves one by one and just after Amy introduced herself the boat rocked and she slipped and fell as she was shaking his hand and he yelled " Oh oh are you okay Gamey". Well this nam has now stuck so please if anyone reading this knows the Amy I speak of, she now goes by Gamey!
Anyway we arrived to Raliey unscathed and just as we got on the beach this old pickup truck goes wizzing past us billowing smoke and its engine screamming! The throttle was stuck wide open and they couldnt get it loose. The two thai guys got it out of gear but it took them about 2min to get the throttle unstuck. So they filled up the entire beach with exhaust and I got some great video!
The next day we did some rock climbing and just hung around our room. We all are sharing a room at this point now I forgot to mention. We went on a snorkle trip around to a few beautifull islands the next day...us and a few thousand other people! It was not the greatest, I was constantly bumping into people or boats when we were snorkleing. The islands were beautiful just way to many tourists! We then got lunch, as it was included on our populated tour. This lunch of rice and chicken would bring our little group closer together than anyone wants to be! Gamy myself and Jaclyn all got so terribly sick after this meal! The best part of this was that our bathroom in our bungalow didnt have walls that went to the roof. These was a two foot gap at the top which transfered noises and smells over it so well! The only thing we could do was turn on the shower to drown out the noise our boadies were makin! Our biggest fear during that time was if we all needed the bathroom at the same time, but it never happened! But I must say I feel the worst for Ryan cause he was never sick and we were sick for 2 or 3 nights one of which was Dec 31st. Ryan had to go out and celebrate New Years in Thailand all by his lonesome! Sorry Bud!
