Historic sights from the vietnam war

After Hanoi we jumped on what they call the night sleeper bus down to hue.It was a 12 hour journey driven by yet another crazy vietnamiese bus driver. There's no seats on the bus just bunkbeds and bloody small ones too!Being just under six foot i found it very hard to get any sleep because there was no room to stretch my legs and when i tried to curl up on one side they went dead, so we'll just have to put it down as another new and very different experience for us.

When we arrived at Hue we were taken to another really nice but cheap hotel, after a quick browse round we caught up on some sleep before visiting a fantastic local restaurant just down the road.

The next few days were spent visiting all the local historic sights fron the american war, mainly the demiliterised zone a war museum and the Vinh mock tunels, where about 350 vietnamiese people lived for more than two years under ground. It was so interesting and we learned so much and with Robbie so clued up on alot of historic facts it made it that bit better.

Next entry: Shopping and beaches
