We are staying at Quay West Apartments and have incredible views over Sydney harbour with vistas to the Opera House on the right and Sydney Harbour Bridge to the left. The weather has been mixed, but we managed to get sun burnt early on when out on the harbour, you just dont expect the intensity of the heat. Highlights have been the Harley ride around the city with a great guy called Mike speeding us around. Sam particularly loved the Cricket match where we watched the Aussies beat India in the 2nd test match. Andrew Symonds and Brett Lee were heroes and we could not believe it when they were staying in our Apartment. Sam spotted Brett Lee in the lobby and got his autograph and then the next day he spotted Andrew Symonds and got a picture with him. Nigel preferred his Girlfriend!
Another great day was flying north up to Cottage Point via Seaplane and staying there for lunch and then flyng back. Perry the Pilot let both Sam and Callum sit up front for the flights and we all came back on a high. A sharp turn / dive at the Sydney bridge on the return leg allowed us to enjoy our food even better - the kids loved it - I was not so sure.
We then had some culture and went to La Boheme at the Sydney Opera House, a wonderful evening rounded off with a cheap pizza ... perfect.
