(sorry for those who already read this via email)

Hello from the Bottom of the World! And happy New Year! Well, it’s been three weeks since I’ve been in New Zealand and time is flying. First, I’ve decided to send out e-mail updates because it’s easier for people just to read it rather than clicking on a link from my travel journals website.

Ministry
Two weeks ago I taught a week long class on the topics of Biblical relationships and communication for the Backpacker DTS. There were forty students from several countries and the topics included identity in Christ, dating, and conflict resolution. It went well and I had very positive feedback from the students (even though they’re not supposed to date on DTS!!!)

For the next six months, I am on staff for the second time on the Around the World in 80 Days DTS. Our staff training began last Monday and we have ten staff members, four guys, and three girls: seven Americans, one Swiss, one Portuguese, and one Danish girl. Staff training will continue until January 12th, and then on the 13th our DTS begins.

Prayer Requests
•Unity for leadership team
•Prepare students’ hearts for growing/serving in Christ
•Healing for my neck:
I dove off a 17ft rock on the Wymac River, hit my head on the bottom, and was rushed to the emergency room. I couldn’t move my neck and head so it was pretty scary for a while. Fortunately, no broken bones but a very sore head, neck, and upper back. I have started physical therapy and will probably go for a couple weeks until the pain subsides. Praise God I can still walk! Please pray that there will be no lasting damage. (picture below)
•Also, please send me your prayer requests!

Finances:
Thank you to all of you who have given financially to this ministry so far. I have received roughly $885 USD! I am still in need of $6000 (that’s only 60 $100 gifts!) for the remaining of this mission program which will end in mid July.

Contact Me!
I would LOVE to hear from you—any of you! I have a new personal local Indiana Skype phone number that you can call anytime (it rings directly to me). It’s easy: Just call this local Indiana phone number and it is setup to automatically transfer you to anywhere I am in the world. You can even leave a voicemail! (574) 203-0810. Don’t be shy now…
