Golf buggeeezzzz!!!

Tuesday we ferried over to the Isla Del Mujeres for an indefinate stay but ended up staying as long as we could manage. I love the island.

When we arrived we had 3 huge fishbowl sized cocktails each and checked into the backpacker place which is one of the best, maybe the best I´ve ever stayed in. It´s right on a big patch of private beach, has two bars, beach volleyball, hammocks, courtyards etc. and it´s right in the middle of a small town. Then we found a place with 2 for 1 cocktails (which worked out to be $2.50 each) and attempted to drink the whole list along with a big bowl of melted chiauaua cheese. Stuff stuff Moroccan tapas and stuff.

Next day we went snorkelling with our new friend Grant which included two different reefs and a free lunch. Loooove snorkelling. Madi was hungover and threw up in the water just before the parrot fish appeared and the snorkel leader yelled ¨put your face in the water!!!¨ so we all unknowingly put our faces in it. yum. More cocktails and then an afternoon siesta nap in hammocks. Reeeally tasty dinner. The food is just too good everywhere, I´m turning into a fatty and nothing fits me lately. The toilets in that place were really cool.

Next day we hired a golf buggy and drove around the whole island. We went to the turtle farm. I used up half of my memory card taking photos and movies of all the turtles. They´re just so funny when they eat and spurt water out of their noses and gurgle and snap and splash. Some fat pig was picking up the baby turtles and waving them around and tormenting them and splashing them in and out of the water so they would wave their arms about even more. And she knew they hated it because she kept saying ¨oh look, oh he´s so angry HAHA oh they hate HAH look how angry he is!!!¨ There´s a big sign infront of her face that says Do Not Touch The Turtles and it even has a picture explaining it but she was just a dirt disgusting effing monster of a woman. One of the bigger turtles bit her and that makes me happy.

And we went to point del sur and walked the funny walkways along the cliff and took lots of photos of iguanas and stuff and had more cocktails and rode the golf buggy to the local village where there´s a squatters settlement. I drove and it got a little scary when we took the buggy off road and I nearly crashed a bit but we´re all still alive. Uhhmmm... took the golf buggy back and drank on the north beach where there are swings at the bar, four poster beds on the beach and of course hammocks. Then we watched the sunset and got to play with some boa constrictors but had to get talked AT by some crazy american hippy who was just aggresively passionate and it really wasn´t very pleasant but he thinks he´s going to save the world and we got to play with snakes.

Had some more fondue and cocktails and fajits and went to the Om bar which was run by a bunch of psytrance hippies or so I´m told. Where we pretty much just flopped all over the crazy mattress couches on the roof bar and drank cocktails whilst looking up at the moon and playing 20 questions. Grantina is a un-sissy because he drank the end of the WooWoo, I´m the second re-captain and Madi is the un-captain?? maybe.. I lost track.. it was fun

and that was our last night on the island .... YEAH!
