ive been to zimbabwe a few times now over the last few years , it get harder every time water fuel and food are getting harder to find you really need to now some locals to get any were, the roads between the main cities are quite good but you will find police road blocks in to and out of most towns these guys to are hungry and under paid like every one else you will meet ,some of the tourist sites are still going but are under funded and badly maintained if you try getting in most places they what to see your passport then they want paying in us dollars if your not part of an orgainized tour zimbabwe today is not really worth it
