So David arrived almost a week ago here in London. We have been having a blast, visiting all the sites - went on the London Eye, pretty much have taken every train line around london to give David a great taste of the London tubes, walked up Regent St and Oxford St pretending to have lots of money for all the expensive shops! Had a few drinks at random pubs, had a few English pub meals, visited the Walkabout pub - Aussie pub here in UK, walked through Hyde Park, visited Buckingham Palace, even spotted the Queen on Davids first day - She was having a chat to David's friends next door neighbour (he lives on the grounds of Windsor Castle), and even saw a Corgie or 2.
Looked at the Christmas markets in Hyde Park, visited Portebello Markets in Notting Hill and found the book shop that is featured in the 'NOtting Hill' movie. Walked to Tower of London and Tower Bridge... And pretty much most of the places on the Monopoly Board.
We are just planning Christmas day now - Having lunch at a friends place - which isnt too far away if you take a bus, but as there is NO transort Xmas day, we are walking! And home again, should make for a fun day! David and I fly out boxing day to Barcelona for 2 nights. Back to UK where we pick up a hire car and head to Scotland for the New Year's festivals. Should be a BLAST!!!!
It will be a strange christmas without the rest of the family, but Im just grateful Im with a family member. Hope you all have a great day where ever you are! Mum and dad - We still havent touched or opened our presents, this is a new record!!! xxx
