Well, with our first beach under our belts we couldn't help ourselves, so we planned our second beach adventure. We headed east to the coast and decided to head up North to Palm Beach on the peninsula. We thought we'd save the touristy beaches, such as Manly and Bondi for another day. Getting there was an adventure since the roads turned every which way. It seemed everyone who owned a BMW was in competition to park their car around the tightest of corners. Palm Beach is known as one of the jewels of the Northern Beaches. We found out rather quickly that its reputation is synonymous with Australia's most rich and famous. It definitely had some amazing views to offer of the Pacific. We couldn't argue why anyone wouldn't want a piece of the scenery. The sun was hot, the water was cool and the waves were definitely something not to mess with. We were introduced to Australias beach culture of surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. All of the above which we want to give a go at. After a little too much sun for some *cough Reg, who was a wee bit burnt, our second day at the beach ended well with a couple of intense double chocolate scones. MMmm... Mmmm... Good!
