In October, 07, my honey and I decided to go to Yang Shuo and do all the touristy things. We did West Street, day and night. Mornings are much less crowded, afternoons are full of foreigners, and evenings are a big party. We got lost from each other, but that's another story.
We tried the all day bicycle to Moon Hill, climbed Moon Hill, Raft trip down the Li river, then bicycle back. That's a long day...No where do I resemble Lance Armstrong. Thank God I had a 12(?) speed mountain bike. Li had only a single speed so I was able to keep up. I didn't mind the view from behind anyway. And I was able to protect her from traffic coming up from behind us.
We went to the musical that night after a nap. It was very good, I don't speak any Chinese, and I liked it. Very impressive.
I highly recommend Coffee and Kalua to wake up. Of course we tried the margaritas on West Street. We are becoming quite good at evaluating margarita quality. HA!
