The Party Continues...

Chiang Mai is continuing its Loi Katrung festival for one more day. There was another parade last night but what was really fantastic were these hot air balloon type things that the people release to the sky. These are significant of if you have something to be rid of in your life something to release. Lovers and families do it together traditionaly to symbolize that whatever they have argued or been angry about that kept them apart is now released. isn't that nice? I did one by myself - but same jist. The whole atmosphere was terribly romantic - lanterns and music and twinkling lights in the sky.

This week i am going to an introductory Buddhis teachings course at the monestary in town, a monk chat where you can talk to the monks about buddhism, a cooking course ( i know what you are thinjking Stephen! Dont Worry! I will remember to turn the burner off!) AND get this - i am going trekking in the jungle on ELEPHANTS! How freaking COOL is that?!? I am a little too excited. But, come on, Elephants! Riding! Jungle!
