Today was a day of travel... well i made it that way anyway... got on the right bus but wrong direction which was a bit of a nightmare, so ended up first time around at some random industrial estate instead of the train station, this meant i missed the train i intended to get (thank god i didn't buy a ticket before hand) and had to hang around for an extra 2 hours... just meant that i got a lot more looks than i usually get, just chilling in a station.
I don't think i will ever get used to being stared at so much... it is like i am an alien from outer space... but guess i do stand out like a sore thumb in places!
Overall Xi'an was a bit of a dissappointment... army good, hostel amazing... weather shit which spoilt it so had no appeal to go and look at the other limited Xi'an attractions!
Nightmare overall on arrival in Luoyang... after shit loads of hassle from people trying to rent a room for me, i set off on mission to find my booking... got the street... how hard can it be! Everything was written in chinese i found so after about 20 mins i walk into a hostel to ask for directions, possibly this could be the place.... they didn't have my reservation and had not heard of the hostel so off i went on another mission, after 2 more hotels , i return to the first place and find out that it is actually the hostel i booked! The word frustrated is an understatment... luckily it was the coldest place i have ever stayed at (worse than Redruth Street), so great day all round really! Ha Ha Ha! After a few days of cooling off, i mean warming up, i am actually laughing at the situation!
