We quickly found out that we would not be leaving Copacabana anytime soon, if we valued our lives. So what are you to do in a town of 3000 except watch pirate copies of newly released movies, eat to much or drink like fish. Heather and I needed a change so we decided to take an overnight cruise on a luxury catamaran. Due to the problems in the Bolivia, the tourist industry has dried up considerably. We boarded the catamaran which normally can take 25 people on an overnight cruise to find that the only tourists aboard we Heather and I and a lovely couple from Australia...as well as 15 staff. To say that we were waited on hand and foot would be a total understatement. Isla del Sol is lovely and you feel that you walked 300 years into the past. We were treated to a shaman ceremony that promised us good health and lots of money. Letīs wait and see!!! I would highly recommend Lake Titcaca to anyone. The water is crystal clear, blue as the sky and the reflection of 6500 meter monster mountains in the water leaves you breathless (and thatīs not just from the altitude!).
