We sadly left Chile and the rolling green hills through the mist (excited about our first international boarder crossing by bus). Almost as soon as weŽd crossed out of Chile (through the snow capped mountains and monkey puzzel trees) the landscape changed dramatically!!! The customs building was kind of like ski resort.. but basic no x-ray machines everyone got off the bus and the rubber gloves came out the search everyones suitcase for FOOD!! our serious professional traveller faces didnŽt last long when the lovely man from customs looked at us trying to make polite conversation by asking if we were BROTHERS!!! he he so in typical aussie sytle we pissed our selves laughing (sorry mum) the poor man had noidea what was wrong with us. So we were very excited but after getting up late and not getting enought food to eat we were trying to sleep but were mezmerised by the amazing scenery it was so so diferent to anything we had ever seen, just like out of a cowboy and indians movie, john wayne dry rocky mountains, massive lakes, goats and sunshine wow! so after it seemed like forever .. we arrived in a small flyfishing village (pesca) Not knowing if this is where we were ment to get off? After being told to stay on the bus , Amy noticed clairs pack on the ground, very nice.. pack recovery was asucessful mission and 30min later we arrived in the spectacular ski resort village of San Martin De los Andes.... starving and freezing with no local pesos or bed.. we somehow managed to find a map bank bed and pasta sereved by cute waiter!! we love Argetina already....
