| | | Nairobi To Lake Naivashsa | | | | | We started the day by ordering a cooked breakfast which they got muddled up. African waitresses and waiters have no concept of timing when it comes to cooking food. Then we had a briefing which was so detailed and explained everything perfectly – Us Cairo to Cape people’s mouths hit the deck!
Now we have four new people with us Guro, Hannah, Alana and Leda who are with us for at least the next two weeks while we do the gorillas.
On the way we stopped off for afternoon tea at “Elsamere” – Joy Adamson’s home where there was a mini museum about her and her husband’s lifes work and watched a video about them as well.
Later we arrived at our camp site on the edge of Lake Naivasha where you could hear hippos fairly close but I didn’t manage to see them. Hannah did because she didn’t go to Elsamere. We waited till dark to try to see them out of the water but they seemed to have disappeared we did see a mongoose though.
