Missing the bus :s

So....We decided we'd be ok to listen to the hostel warden when he told us the time our bus left. Never again! He told us it left at 2, so we decided to head back for 1ish just incase...and we'd missed it by 5 minutes! So after A LOT of swearing and phoning, we managed to get booked onto a Greyhound bus to Townsville. 5 hours later we jumped on the ferry to Magnetic Island, and then onto another bus to Bungalow bay YHA- our hostel for the week. We arrived desperate for sleep so we quickly got some food then crashed into bed. We had about 1 hours sleep thanks to the enormous variety of wildlife that seemed to congregate outside our hut- Curlews, Possums and Fruit Bats to name but a few. Im not sure why but Curlews seem to like to scream all night long! So the next day we got up, chilled for abit and then made our way into town to find a supermarket. After buying lots of food we found a bus stop and 1 1/2 hours later one finally turned up (its like trying to get the number 8) So we had dinner and crashed into bed. This time it wasnt the wildlife that kept us up, but the terrential downpour that lasted allllllll night. Oh, and did i mention we were both desperate to pee?? and did i mention the toilets were a field away? lets just say the bin was looking very inviting! I even sellotaped the holes up so it didnt leak everywhere! But then after much debate we decided to face the storm and leg it in PJs and rainmacs to the loos. Nevermind, we were looking forward to having a gourmet breakfast to fall asleep in!
