After afew more days of travel we met up again with Flick and Charles and stayed afew days in the Whitsundays it was really beautiful here and we spent much of our time around the man made lagoon ,it was lovely. We went on the fastest racing yacht in the area which was called the Raggamuffin.
The raggamuffin
Wow what a great day this was, we set sail at about 8 in the morning on the 80ft racing yacht. We sailed for afew hours admiring all the beautiful views before arriving at pearl bay where we all went snorkelling for about an hour or so, it was lovely the only thing was we had to wear these silly stinger suits(for our own protection i know) which we all looked daft in. Afterwards we climbed back on board to an all you could eat buffet and a nice cold beer.On the way back the yacht was really moving and we all had our legs over the side. It was a fantastic and we really enjoyed the whole day.
The billabong sanctuary
After moving up the coast for afew hours we spent the rest of the day walking around the sanctuary, although alot smaller than the Australia zoo it was alot more personal and there was more interaction with all the animals and i even got Jan holding a snake with me for awhile (anyone that knows Jan knows how scraed she is of them)so well done baby!!
We travelled afew hours back on ourselves so i could go dive the Yongala(a great wreck diving site)but unfortuately was unsucessful because of the weather(gutted) so we might head back down if we have the money near the end of our trip.
