Lahti is at about 100 km away to the North from Helsinki, located at the edge of the Lake Vesijärvi. It is worth to say that the centre, although animated, is not really thrilling. You will only see modern buildings and a simple church. You will enjoy better the lake's shores streched between the hills that we discern far away, as far as we can't even see the horizon. Take a walk in some forests that look down on the city and the lake. If you're interested in hivernal sports, Lahti also houses hivernal world championships equipments.
