I am brimming with information and passion, and I am going to bestow all of it in this terrific little ex-pat magazine (www.BAInsiderMag.com).
Eg, Did you ever notice all of the poetic, inspiring signs that adorn the city? Surely they enhance Buenos Aires’ romantic aura.
Or how the names of foods here would be entirely too controversial in the USA? “Negros,” for example; nutty, chocolate treats you can purchase in most corner shops. I remember “Judías” in Madrid could be either green beans or female Jews. Does that make commodities out of divergent races? Chew on that, readers!
But… My first article is gratis. Thereafter, I will make 5 cents a word. That’s Argentine currency we’re discussing, or US .017 ¢ when I convert and round up. That’s less than a gumball from a gumball machine (25 ¢). That’s less than one minute of Skype calling time (.017 € or .024 ¢). And if one sentence is roughly seven words, I still don’t have enough for a McDonald’s dollar menu item.
That's okay though, starving artists could use a little humble pie.
