hi everyone, sorry its a late update, i left london on 24 sptember and went to barcelona, spent about 3 or 4 days there, such a beautiful/vibrant/busy city, i loved it and will be back there again before i return to london (around start of november).

after my first taste of barcelona, we traveled up to san sebastian, had a stopover for 1 night (a free stopover, we didnt pay for accomodation as we snuck into a hostel because the reception was closed, slept on their couch and left early in the morning to avoid paying) from our quick getaway we caught an early train to hendaye (spain/france border) then a connecting train to bayonne, and a bus to seignosse on the coast in france... a big day of travelling!

the reason for all of this was the quicksilver pro finals, being held in hossager (1 beach before seignosse along the coast) our 'free accommodation' luck kept rolling (thankfully, as we had absolutley no plans) Niamh (who i met in London through clare and am travelling with for the next week or so) had been at the Pro earlier in the week and we ran into some people she had met then... who had a spare tent which was already set up at the seignosse campsite! Although the spot it was pitched in had not been paid for, we stayed at the campsite for 2 nights and left on the last day of the season (when the campsite shuts down until next summer) and managed to get away again without paying!! WOOHOO!

we were planning to leave hossager on sunday but the lack of bus services in the small town meant this wasn't gonna happen... we were lucky enough to find a lovely & cheap B&B for the night right near the town & beach at hossager, we stayed for the night and after a wander through the markets & quick swim on the beach we headed to the bus back to bayonne where we would get our connecting train to lourdes.

have to get moving from the internet cafe now but to briefly wrap up we spent a night in lourdes, and from there caught a bus up to chautauts (i think?) its a spot up in the pyranees, after lourdes we travelled to toulouse, where i am today... theres not a whole lot around so we are leaving for montpellier tonight.

we hope to pick up scalper tickets for the aus v england quarter final in marseille on the 6th or 7th, in the meantime we will have a look around marseillle and aux-en-provence before heading to nice, we will also try to stop in st tropez for a day trip, as the accomodation there is definatly out of our league!!

after nice i plan to head back to spain and visit a friend in valencia & do a bit more travelling around the south of spain before my money runs out, then ill be back to london for a month of work befoer mum dad and mike arrive!!! very exciting times ahead, will try my best to keep you all more updated.

lots of love oxoxoxoxox
