Beach Bash- Japanese style

OK- so I'm still trying to get caught up on posting stories from the last month.

The Monday after my 2nd bday bash (September 17??) we had the day off for a Holiday- Respect for the Aged Day I believe. The guy that we know that owns the Dogs Bullocks decided to have a party at the beach and invited us out.

Matt, Joanna & I took the train out to Omika (about 20 minutes away) and met up with Allison & Elena. From the station we walked to the beach, and it was really hot out STILL!! When we showed up at about noon there were afew of Gen's friends milling about. The party was actually in the parking lot of the beach and they had it blocked off at the end. It was kind of ghetto, but funny!

There was a DJ (actually a couple) set up in a camper and a bar set up in the parking lot as well. It was 1000 yen for 3 drinks, but because we were girls (except for Matt!) and we were in swimsuits we got 3 drinks free- woo hoo!!!!!

One of Gen's friends had a jet-ski and took us out on it. The water was a little cold, but it was nice to cool off in. I don't think I've been in the ocean since I was in 9th grade, so Ihad a blast playing in the waves. The guy took me out on the jet ski and it was crazy!! He was going REALLY fast and taking sharp turns and going over waves. It was sooooo much fun! Of course, I fell off after one of the turns and the jet ski hit me!!! I was fine but I got a HUGE bruise on my arm that is still around!! I was laughing so hard when I flew off that I drank about a gallon of salt water!

Back at the party the DJ kicked in and we danced to a little Ace of Base- old school style! There were some people bbqing- hot dogs on sticks and I believe Spam and steak. All of it was really yummy.

Joanna left at about 4 because she had a private lesson to teach, and Allison & Elena left a little later because it got cold. Matt & I stayed till the end( about 8:30) and got a ride home from one of the guys.

It was great to be at the beach and hang out for a while. I can't believe I went all summer without going to the beach!!!
