The final day we awoke with sunburn from the previouys days trek, you dont realise youre getting burnt because its colder. We had a quick breakfast then packed upi the gear before heading back to our first drop off point. It was quite slippery and wet with lots of dew to begin with and loose rocks didnt help either. It wasnt long before we had our first casualty, we were crossing a small stream when Marie slipped and twisted her ankle. It was lucky it wasnt worse because a broken ankle here and youre in trouble because there's noone but goat herders for miles around. She was a bit sore but struggled on like the rest of us who were pretty knackered as well. What rubbed it in was that the guys carrying our stuff had flip flops on and were running past us all.

Eventually we made it to the road and it wasnt long before we saw loads more babboons (about 200) grazing in the fields and fighting with each other as well. After much up hill trekking we were told that we were an hour away from the finish then it started raining. When we arrived at the finish we sat down in the shelter and the biggest hail storm ever started with thunder and lightning as well.

Soon after our jeep turned up to take us back to Gondar. On the way the hills were covered in the hail stones from the storm so the fields were white.

On the way home we got a 4 inch gash in the tyre and had to fix it with loads of local laughing at us. But soon after we arrived at the hotel and crashed out for the night.

Now we backtrack to addis then head south where apparently theres major floods - Should be fun!
