Well we've arrived in Hong Kong! For 3 weeks before we got here, the weather had been gorgeous and hot and sunny, so naturally when we arrived there was a typhoon warning!! (explains the 12 hours of turbulence on the plane) Only no 1 on a scale on 1-8 though, so it only meant terrential downpours and heavy winds, nothing too serious! However we've still managed to find our way into Hong Kong central, catch the star ferry to Kowloon (mainland Hong Kong) end up accidently eating at a really expensive restaurant (its hard to convert HK$ to GBP!) and get an interesting foot massage- very painful! but if you like having your feet punched and scratched im sure you'd like it! Having said that it did get better... Anyway, overall HK is amazing! We're staying on the south side of the island in Stanley which is less built up and has a lovely beach, and the family we're staying with are brilliant. Later on we went down to Stanley market to find an open air dance class which was amusing, we also found a McDonalds! All this along with some fantastic views of Stanley harbour. Tomorrow we're off to ocean park to see the pandas, thats if it doesnt chuck it down again!
