Didn't write a story for yesterday as I had a hangover like it was 1999 all over again!

Today we got up packed our stuff away, then had porridge for breakfast before leaving for Gondar about 250km further north.

The journey seemed like youre average journey until we stopped for a wee and realised that we'd stopped in a ditch full of water and we werent getting out. To add to that upon trying to get out we wheels spun us further in the mud and tilted us to a 45 degree angle and it seemed almost certain that the truck was about to fall on its side. We struggled fro about 35 minutes to use the sand boards to get us out ad we were creating more and more of a crowd. The wierd thing was, we were in the middle of nowhere - whever you stop people just suddenly appear. Then eventually a guardian angel came in the form of a big flatbed truck that pulled us out with ease! If that wasdnt enough about 20mins later the black windows blew out. Luckily a small lad sprang up from nowhere to retrieve them for us.

Got to Gondar about 1:30pm and sat down to dinner to discuss our next plan. Good job we had a lot to talk about because dinner took about 2 hours to be brought out.

It was decide that Brendan, Marie and Sandra would go off to Lalibela for 3 days while us tight asses stayed at Gondar then when they get back we are all of to the Simien Mountains for a 3 day trek. Ive just read it goes as low as 2 degrees up there - and weve only got a fleece - better go and do some shopping!
